About The Position

Castle Dental, supported by Smile Brands, is hiring a Travel Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support multiple practices throughout South Austin and surrounding communities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced orthodontic assistant who enjoys variety, values teamwork, and is confident delivering high-quality patient care across different clinical settings. In this role, you’ll work alongside orthodontic providers to create positive patient experiences while maintaining consistency and clinical excellence across all supported offices.

Requirements

Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
Orthodontic assisting experience required (braces, bands, wires, aligners)
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to travel between nearby offices as needed
Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
Dental Assistant certification/licensure (per state requirements)
Orthodontic assisting experience required (1+ year preferred)
CPR/BLS certification
Experience with digital imaging and orthodontic software
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to adapt quickly to different office environments and workflows
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations

Responsibilities

Assist orthodontists with procedures including bonding, adjustments, wire changes, and debonding
Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories
Take digital X-rays, impressions, and intraoral scans
Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
Maintain accurate and compliant patient records
Support efficient patient flow and a positive office environment
Preparing patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures
Helping to educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
Improving oral health, solving dental challenges and bettering smiles every day
