About The Position

Serving the children of Winter Garden, Horizon West & Ocoee, FL. In their gentle and approachable manner, pediatric dentist Dr. Howard and her team aim to help children and teens learn the good oral habits that lead to a lifetime of healthy smiles in Winter Garden, Windermere , Horizon West , Davenport and Ocoee , FL. Join our team as a Dental Assistant and contribute to creating healthy smiles for our patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current certification in dental radiography
• Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain strict infection control protocols

Nice To Haves

• Experience with digital imaging systems
• Familiarity with dental office management software
• Knowledge of dental insurance billing procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist the Orthodontist
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Perform patient assessments and record medical history
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Educate patients on oral hygiene
