About The Position

In this Travel Orthodontic Assisting opportunity, you will support the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting during dental procedures, preparing instruments, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring and professional demeanor, ability to start within a month and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring that the ultimate patient experience is delivered to every patient.
  • Place and remove arch wires, elastic ties, power chains, and other orthodontic auxiliaries (as allowed by state regulations).
  • Educate the patients on orthodontic care, headgear delivery and rubber band instructions.
  • Assist in patient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances, and taking full records to include Panoramic and Cephalometric x-rays.
  • Maintain patients’ charts and transcribe the doctor’s notes accurately and assure home care instructions are clear to patients and/or guardian.
  • Perform laboratory procedures including model pour up, trimming and fabricating clearn aligners.
  • Keep chairs stocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Washington RDA must be active
  • BLS certification required
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and OSHA/HIPAA standards
  • Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care
