About The Position

American Family Ortho is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ortho Assistant to support patient care in a respectful, supportive practice. The role involves preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing and delivering instruments, positioning instruments for the dentist, suctioning and passing instruments, and completing clinical notes before patients are dismissed. The position is part-time, with 22 weekly hours, and offers pay up to $22 per hour based on experience, plus a $500 sign-on bonus. Employment offers are contingent on successfully passing a background check, including a drug screen.

Requirements

• CPR/X-ray certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Successfully pass a background check, including a drug screen, as a condition of an employment offer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room for patients.
• Sterilize and deliver instruments to the treatment area.
• Position instruments for the dentist’s access, suction, and pass instruments.
• Complete clinical notes before dismissing patients.
