About The Position

ASRC Federal is a leading government contractor supporting missions in space, public health, and defense. ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) is seeking a Senior ORION Quality Inspector at Kennedy Space Center, FL. This role involves performing a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks for specific production units, developmental, or prototype requirements within product development, manufacturing engineering, or preproduction operations. The work may involve situations where documentation and guidance are limited. The inspector will be responsible for constructing developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components by working from schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions, utilizing standard electronic assembly tools and materials. The position may also include inspecting modifications, rework, and quality testing. AFSS has a 14-year history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration, and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies, providing these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 3+ year experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units, developmental or prototype requirements in product development, manufacturing engineering or preproduction operations where documentation and guidance may be limited.
  • Works form schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components.
  • Uses standard electronic assembly tools and materials.
  • May inspect modifications, rework, and quality testing.
