ORION Production Planning & Control Material Kitting Business Specialist, Associate 2nd shift
About The Position
ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) is seeking an Associate ORION Production Planning & Control Material Kitting Business Specialist to work at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The role performs technician functions related to material handling and kitting of critical flight hardware, along with duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. It may involve constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, diagnosing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems. The position works an odd-weekend schedule on second shift: Friday through Monday, 10-hour days. Applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet contract requirements and must successfully complete a government background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years of experience in production control, or 4–6 years of equivalent education/experience.
- Knowledge and experience in supply chain processes.
- Knowledge or experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics processes.
- Experience with SAP or another materials requirement planning (MRP) system.
- Customer service and problem-resolution skills.
- Ability to track large amounts of data and provide status.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen to meet contract requirements.
- Must successfully complete a government background investigation.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
