We are a trusted in-home care partner working with senior care clients and caregivers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and we’re looking for an Orientation Coordinator to join our Walnut Creek team!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of direct caregiving experience required (home care, private care, home health care, or CNA)
  • Experience supporting caregiver onboarding and cross training
  • Demonstrated ability to train and support caregivers with patience and clarity
  • Experience with memory care clients; private, facility or hospital settings preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace apps (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail), WellSky/ClearCare, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate in-person orientation sessions for all newly hired Caregivers.
  • Prepare and manage New Hire Orientation schedules, ensuring all logistics are arranged in advance including room reservations, equipment, supplies, badges, systems access, and printed materials.
  • Order and prepare orientation materials, employee handbooks, and welcome kits ahead.
  • Introduce new caregivers to Hillendale Home Care’s culture, mission, values, policies, and operational procedures with a focus on engagement, retention and service excellence.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely completion of onboarding records, caregiver profiles, compliance documents, and other admin tasks needed post orientation.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from orientation through surveys to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct post-orientation follow-ups with new hires within their first 7-14 days.
  • Collaborate with department leads to update orientations content in line with changing policies, regulatory updates, and best practices.
