About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is seeking to hire a Part-Time Orientation and Mobility Specialist in Hartwell, GA for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is with a therapist-run company focused on elevating the employment experience in schools. Relocation assistance is available.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE Orientation and Mobility Specialist Certification
  • Successfully completed and graduated from an accredited Orientation and Mobility specific training program through an approved university and have completed all fieldwork requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an O&M Specialist in the schools a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Develops plans and instructs students with visual impairments in the development of skills and knowledge
  • Implement IEPs, individualized interventions, and classroom accommodations
  • Build a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with school-based Exceptional Children's/Special Education teams, behavior specialists, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and team planning sessions
