The Intake, Orientation and Assessment Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring participants begin the PACE program with a clear understanding of program expectations, services, and next steps. This position manages participant intake, facilitates orientation sessions, and administers program assessments that inform individualized service plans and career pathways.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, workforce development or client facing experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to details
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Computer literacy and experience with database systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct participant intake and facilitate program orientation sessions.
  • Review referral data in SEAMS to verify participant eligibility and program assignment.
  • Administer and proctor assessments including TABE and other approved skills or career assessments.
  • Guide participants through assessment tools and provide basic feedback on results.
  • Ensure intake documentation and required program forms are completed and properly recorded in program systems.
  • Enter and maintain participant data, attendance, and engagement activity in Salesforce, SEAMS, and other funder systems.
  • Distribute Metro/OMNY Cards to eligible participants.
  • Identify participant barriers during intake and coordinate appropriate referrals or support services.
  • Conduct outreach to participants regarding upcoming or missed orientation and assessment appointments.
  • Collaborate with Career Navigators to transition participants into Employment Plan / Individual Service Plan development.
  • Provide general support to front desk and program operations as needed.
