About The Position

This job is responsible for the operational management, readiness, and coordination of perfusion-related equipment and technology, including organ preservation systems such as the OrganOx metra®. Duties include equipment setup, point of care testing, troubleshooting, quality assurance monitoring, regulatory compliance documentation, vendor coordination, and oversight of point-of-care testing equipment. Ensures all perfusion and organ preservation equipment is operationally ready for clinical use, maintains accurate records, and supports clinical teams through effective equipment and program management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years experience monitoring medical equipment, involvement in organ recovery services, or operational support functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree/College Diploma in a healthcare related field, such as RN, LPN, surgical technician or other.
  • Experience in a surgical services, perfusion, transplant, critical care, or healthcare operations environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the operation, testing, and readiness of perfusion and organ preservation equipment, including OrganOx and associated technologies.
  • Coordinates equipment setup, preventive maintenance, quality assurance activities, service schedules, and vendor support to ensure regulatory compliance and operational reliability.
  • Communicates concerns of inventory of perfusion supplies, disposable circuits, preservation solutions, pharmaceuticals, and related equipment; monitors usage and coordinates ordering and replenishment.
  • Maintains Point-of-Care testing equipment, quality control processes, documentation, and compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintains technical knowledge of perfusion technologies, organ preservation systems, and related healthcare equipment; participates in ongoing education and competency development.
  • Maintains equipment utilization records, operational logs, and supporting documentation for clinical, regulatory, and quality assurance purposes.
  • Collaborates with perfusionists, transplant teams, surgical services, supply chain, pharmacy, and biomedical engineering to support clinical operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
  • Maintains and complies with its Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, including the immediate reporting of any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct; patient/employee safety, patient privacy, and/or other compliance-related concerns.
