About The Position

Responsible for administering/implementing processes within Organizational Effectiveness programs. Continually monitor the health of the program and implement improvements as directed. Establish, implement, and maintain performance improvement strategies in assigned program(s) including methods to monitor, measure, and assess performance; implement tools, techniques, and training as necessary. Interface cross-functionally to ensure assigned programs and processes are aligned and properly executed. Works with peer groups to ensure that department programs and processes are executed at high standards and in line with industry best practices, with goals for performance remaining challenging and continue to sustain excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical or business discipline and five (5) years' applicable experience in one or more of the following areas: Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and organize work activities to meet goals, objectives, and schedule constraints.
  • Must be capable of coordinating and executing any of the performance improvement programs with minimal oversight from leadership team.
  • Must be fully capable of successfully communicating with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage several diverse tasks and interests concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and develop professional and technical information.
  • Ability to maintain high work standards by establishing goals and standards of performance. This includes attention to detail and thoroughness in accomplishing a task.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exhibit leadership in anticipating and addressing evolving issues.
  • Must assume responsibility for continuously upgrading knowledge and skill through pursuit of relevant qualifications, technical training and/or post-secondary education.
  • A broad knowledge of standard work processes and procedures.
  • Ability to become fully qualified in causal evaluation techniques, and mentor/train other station personnel, as designated.
  • Knowledge of Corrective Action Program regulatory requirements

  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, coordination and Subject Matter Expert support for one or more of the following Performance Improvement programs
  • Administer the Corrective Action Program (CAP) by coordinating, monitoring, and conducting reviews, analyses, evaluations, and trending. This also includes developing corrective actions and preparing reports for leadership.
  • Coordinate and implement strategies for enhancing human performance, with a focus on reducing errors across the organization. Responsibilities include maintaining human performance initiatives, executing integrated trending and analysis, providing reports to leadership, and offering consultation on event incident reviews, when needed.
  • Engage with the Operating Experience (OE) Program by liaising with industry peers for best practices in OE activities, screening incoming OE from all sources, and distributing them to respective OE leads for evaluation. This also involves overseeing the outputs resulting from OE activities.
  • Manage the Trending Program by reviewing identified issues, analyzing their overall impact, liaising with industry peers for trending best practices, and communicating with station personnel and management when trends are identified. This role also includes maintaining trending procedures.
  • Oversee the Benchmarking/Self-Assessment program by maintaining the schedule, engaging with industry peers for best practices in BM/SA activities, and overseeing the outputs resulting from BM/SA activities.
  • Lead Root Cause or Investigation Analyses for problems associated with the Organizational Effectiveness department
  • Participate in industry peer groups and ensure Dairyland’s methodologies for performance improvement programs are at Industry Best Practice levels
  • Develop, evaluate, maintain and implement administrative procedures or other Performance Improvement program documents, as assigned
  • Provide oversight and direction for root cause/high level/significant condition adverse to qualify evaluations to drive high quality evaluations and effective corrective actions
  • Prepare or revise lesson plans and conduct Performance Improvement training for employees
  • Develop, monitor, update and trend plant performance indicators
  • Lead and/or participate in self-assessments
  • Other duties as assigned.
