About The Position

Supervises daily Organics / Composting Operations and staff. This requires the Supervisor to adapt to fluctuations in input quality and quantity while ensuring the biological systems function efficiently to maintain continuous production.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
4 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement)

Nice To Haves

4–7 years of experience in composting, agriculture, farming, organics processing, or a related industry.
Working knowledge of composting operations, biological processes, and organics management.
CCOM (Certified Compost Operations Manager) certification preferred.
OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervises Organics / Composting staff and reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
Coordinates workflow and assignments toward the achievement of operational goals.
Knowledge of the lifecycle and upkeep of "yellow iron" equipment, such as loaders, grinders, screeners, and windrow turners.
Supervises and monitors daily operations, and reviews and controls implementation of safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
Coordinates repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
Collects weekly and/or monthly readings. Creates and submits records and reports.
Oversees personnel needs of the operations including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
