Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality, be punctual, communicate schedule changes in advance, and wear appropriate attire
Assist with lab set-up, including making standard solutions and unknowns; operate lab instrumentation independently
Assist students and answer questions during lab; support inclusivity in a diverse setting
Manage databases for the chemistry department
Modify or create handouts for chemistry classes
Type information, concepts, and formulas to assist students
Cleaning of glassware in the chemistry laboratories.
Foster a collaborative environment that values individuals from varied perspectives
Create highly engaging PowerPoint slides, including embedded media and animation
Ensure all safety regulations are followed by students and self
Ensure the lab is clean and the equipment is returned and powered off after sessions
Provide clerical support, proofreading, photocopying, and filing; assist with projects as assigned
Prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines successfully
Effectively communicate your skills and availability in your application
Perform other duties as determined by the supervisor
