The RN Clinician Educator is an experienced registered nurse who serves as a unit-based education resource, supporting the professional development and clinical competency of clinical staff under the guidance of the Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner. This role is designed as a formal development opportunity for clinically experienced nurses seeking to grow their expertise in staff education and NPD practice. The RN Clinician Educator applies foundational knowledge of adult learning principles and evidence-based practice to assist with onboarding, competency management, education delivery, and quality improvement activities. This role functions within the career pathway of RN Clinician Educator to NPD Practitioner to NPD Specialist. On 6T, the unit specializes in pre/post-transplant care for Kidney/Pancreas and Liver Transplant patients with End Stage Kidney/Pancreas and Liver Disease. The unit has 48 beds and a targeted nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4. The unit is a winner of the Gold Beacon award and provides an advanced level of care.
