New England Donor Services (NEDS) is an Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) coordinating organ and tissue donation across New England and Bermuda, serving nearly 15 million people and screening approximately 55,000 potential donor referrals annually. Recognized as a Top 100 Women-Led Business in Massachusetts, NEDS is driven by its mission to save lives through organ and tissue donation. The organization employs 398 clinical and non-clinical staff members and aims to be a leader in increasing life-saving gifts through effective relationships with clinical partners, donor families, and communities. NEDS is seeking an experienced ICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurse, or Critical Care Respiratory Therapist to join their team as a Donation Coordinator. This full-time, 36-hours-a-week, night hybrid position involves responding on-site to organ donor referrals, providing clinical expertise in donor evaluation, management, organ allocation, and recovery. The role requires blending high-level clinical and interpersonal skills to educate hospital staff, obtain consent from donor families, and collaborate with surgical and critical care teams to optimize organs for transplantation. Success in this role demands a self-assured professional with keen clinical assessment skills, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm and effective in complex, high-pressure clinical situations. The next New Hire Donation Academy Orientation class is scheduled for September 2026.
