New England Donor Services (NEDS) is an organization dedicated to saving lives through organ and tissue donation, recognized as one of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts. NEDS coordinates organ and tissue donation across Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, eastern Vermont, and Bermuda, serving nearly 15 million people and screening approximately 55,000 potential donor referrals annually. As one of the largest of the 55 Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) in the nation, NEDS works with over 200 hospitals and employs 398 clinical and non-clinical staff. The organization's vision is to lead in developing and implementing strategies to increase life-saving and life-enhancing gifts through effective relationships with clinical partners, donor families, and communities. NEDS is seeking an experienced ICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurse, or Critical Care Respiratory Therapist for a full-time, 36-hours-a-week, night-shift hybrid position. This position requires a blend of high-level clinical and people skills to educate hospital staff, obtain consent from donor families, and collaborate with surgical and critical care teams to optimize organs for transplantation. Success in this role demands a self-assured professional with keen clinical assessment skills, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm and effective in highly charged and clinically complex situations. The next New Hire Donation Academy Orientation class is scheduled for September 2026.
