The multi-specialty aspect of this ICU is especially interesting for experienced ICU nurses who wish to pursue their career in critical care while developing new competencies and enriching their practice. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Supported by a collaborative and dedicated nursing team, you will have the opportunity to provide the highest quality care to your patients, ensuring they receive the attention and expertise they deserve.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • 2 years of RN experience required in a med/surg setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required
  • Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
  • Basic computer proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • BSN (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
  • ICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
  • Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
  • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
  • Update and manage patient records
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information
  • Follow guidelines and policies established by our nursing department
  • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
