Requirements

  • High school diploma, sometimes combined with medical assistant certification
  • Solid faxing and computer skills; familiarity with computerized documentation systems
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at once

  • Valid California's driver's license.
  • Clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

  • Process all Certifications and Medical Orders using the computer tracking system for outgoing and incoming orders in Kinnser.
  • Meet Agency, State and Federal deadlines for obtaining physician signature of medical orders and follow up with providers to ensure return of delinquent medical orders.
  • Triage medical order help desk phone calls and email requests, including filing, computer input, printing, and mail processing.
  • Cross-train with HIM specialist and cover defined tasks within each function as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow written and routine delivery instructions.
  • Utilize Google Maps to map routes efficiently.
  • Follow direction and complete tasks with little to no supervision.
  • Work with the EMR system to locate physician information.
  • Drive a company vehicle for long periods of time in various conditions, practicing safe driving habits and following all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Be honest, reliable, and hardworking with a great attitude and effective communication skills.
  • Be available for overtime if needed.
  • Work with members of the billing team to ensure that managed care customers are billed according to Case Manager agreements.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential physicians.
  • Assist in building community, customer, payer and patient perceptions of Compassionate Care Home Health Agency as a high-quality provider of services.
