About The Position

Orderly needed to assist medical and/or nursing staff with various routine tasks. Duties may include transporting patients, personal care, gathering or moving equipment/supplies, changing lines, and cleaning equipment in a fast pace surgical center environment.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of infection control principles
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Effective teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull patients and equipment (with assistance and/or mechanical devices)
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move quickly between locations
• Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for safe patient transport and environmental awareness
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, and regulated medical waste
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
• Exposure to surgical and anesthesia environments
• Requires use of required PPE
