About The Position

Southwoods Health is hiring an Orderly to work at The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods. The successful candidate will safely assist the surgical staff and patients by maintaining the cleanliness of the Operating Room, assisting with patient transport and positioning, and performing rapid room turnover.

Requirements

• Strong ethical and moral character references.
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Superior prioritization, time management, and a consistently professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a team member in support of positive patient outcomes and experiences.
• Considers cost containment by using resources appropriately and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Turns over and cleans Operating Rooms thoroughly between surgical cases.
• Knows the locations of equipment, stocks handwashing supplies, and distributes clean linen and scrubs.
• Performs general delivery services and participates in facility training and learning opportunities.
• Ensures all responsible processes maintain compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
