About The Position
The Orderly/Facility Assistant functions as a supporting member of the Surgery Center team by performing various tasks which include limited patient care, environmental maintenance, assistance with material management, and a variety of other duties. The Orderly/Facility Assistant reports directly to the Director of Nursing and/or the Administrator.
Requirements
- Ability to move traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day.
- Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
- Intermittent physical mobility/activity including moderate-to-heavy lifting, pulling or pushing of carts, equipment, etc.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate
- Previous work experience in an ambulatory surgery center, acute-care facility, or long-term care setting preferred.
- BCLS certification preferred within six (6) months of date of hire.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
