About The Position

Charlie's Produce is a privately owned wholesale produce company and the largest privately owned produce wholesaler on the West Coast. This role involves picking full case produce orders onto a pallet using a hands-free voice pick headset system while operating a riding pallet jack. Orders are picked with product integrity in mind, wrapped, and staged for delivery. We emphasize maintaining a safe warehouse environment, building organized orders with attention to quality and accuracy, and adhering to food safety programs. This is a steady-paced position with an easily achievable performance standard.

Requirements

• Ability to pick orders via headset using a voice pick system with attention to accuracy.
• Ability to organize orders on pallets with integrity to the product.
• Ability to operate equipment, specifically a riding pallet jack.
• Ability to follow food safety quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (35-56 degrees).
• Ability to lift 40-60 lbs frequently.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and prioritize activities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick full case produce orders onto a pallet utilizing a “hands free” voice pick headset system.
• Operate a riding pallet jack.
• Ensure product integrity during picking.
• Wrap and stage completed orders for delivery.
• Maintain a safe warehouse environment.
• Build organized orders with attention to quality and accuracy.
• Comply with all food safety programs, procedures, rules, and regulations.
