About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring now for a Warehouse Order Picker in Kansas City, MO. This position offers a great work environment with weekly pay of $22.00 per hour. Benefits include health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance. The role involves picking and pulling products accurately, locating items in the warehouse, verifying products, and using RF scanners. Tasks also include packing, labeling, staging orders, moving materials, replenishing stock, and performing basic inventory counts. The shift is the Day Shift, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends off.

Requirements

Warehouse Order Picker experience preferred
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
Ability to read and follow pick tickets, labels, item numbers, and written instructions.
Basic math and counting skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to use RF scanners or warehouse technology after training.
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must follow all safety, quality, and attendance standards.

Responsibilities

Pick and pull products accurately according to order sheets, pick tickets, or customer orders.
Locate products in the warehouse using item numbers, bin locations, labels, or inventory systems.
Verify product numbers, quantities, descriptions, and condition before staging orders.
Use RF scanners, handheld devices, or warehouse management systems to track picked items.
Pack, label, scan, and stage orders for shipping or production as needed.
Move materials using pallet jacks, carts, order pickers, or other warehouse equipment.
Replenish stock locations and help keep inventory organized.
Perform basic inventory counts and report shortages, overages, or damaged products.
