About The Position

The Order Puller Associate will stock incoming merchandise and fill orders for customers. At AFW, we are proud that customers can pick up their furniture and take it home the same day. You will be a critical part of fulfilling that promise to the customer. The Order Puller will safely operate a Stock Picker, Reach Truck, Sit Down Forklift, and any other equipment necessary to transport merchandise for customers and other departments. We provide full training and certifications for all equipment.

Requirements

Commitment to safety
Knowledge of the correct lifting/team lifting techniques
Capability to perform the correct lifting/team lifting techniques
Ability to work at heights (0 to 35 feet above the ground)
Ability to work in multiple departments
Ability to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends
Be an ambassador for safety in the workplace
Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately
Operate material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse
Operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner
Correctly use a hand truck
Capacity to effectively work independently of direct supervision
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner
Capacity to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
Capability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
Continuous use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
Ability to lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs. and the skill to handle/manipulate merchandise up to 250 lbs. frequently
Lifting, gripping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment background check

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker
