About The Position

The function of the Order Processor, under appropriate supervision, is to verify part number and serial numbers picked are accurately recorded in NetSuite and ensure products are packed in accordance to Pelco guidelines in a timely manner using desktop computers. Order Processors should maintain high productivity and excellent quality. Pickers should understand the function and relationship of their activity/department to other parts of the Company, and strive to obtain cooperation and understanding with all other groups/departments.

Requirements

  • 1 year work experience preferably in warehouse/production environment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh parts.
  • Proficient use of tablet, computer, and scanner.
  • Ability to maneuver rolling carts, pallet jacks and other material moving equipment.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Time Management Skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to stay focused on tasks.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, respirator mask, coveralls.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick/Organize/Move parts through production areas according to policy and procedures as required.
  • Verify accuracy of parts and quantities picked and that part numbers and serial numbers are recorded correctly in NetSuite as per Pelco work instructions.
  • Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality at assigned work location.
  • Advise Cell Coordinator/Supervisor of any part quality issues and document per the appropriate work instructions.
  • Ensure parts are packed in accordance with Pelco guidelines.
  • Process UPS and FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipments in their respective applications.
  • In an accurate and timely manner, measure, weigh, count and record part information and quantities.
  • Follow work instructions to pick and record required serial numbers and quantities.
  • Complete NetSuite (ERP system) functions to ensure flow through production and update system critical data information.
  • Use material moving equipment such as carts and pallet jacks to deliver or route products and materials to appropriate locations.
  • Read order notes or follows oral instructions regarding shipping method and freight terms.
  • Stage containers, materials or products in assigned areas.
  • Notify appropriate individuals of inventory issues (overages, shortages, substitutions).
  • Support all company policies, procedures, safety rules and principals of Lean Manufacturing/5S.
  • Be available as required by customer demand to work additional time (overtime) throughout the year.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Team Lead or Supervisor.
