About The Position

The Order Picker ensures that orders are prepared and shipped without errors, efficiently and in a timely manner for our customers. This role involves picking merchandise, adhering to health and safety standards, and participating in other related duties as requested. The position requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude under stress. The order picker will also be responsible for completing various reports and participating in annual inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or vocational training.
• Excellent knowledge of English spoken and written.
• Experience operating an elevating platform order/stock picker.
• A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar position.
• Steel toe boots are a must.
• Being able to do repetitive tasks.
• Capable of working in an environment where the temperature varies.
• Good physical endurance, being able to move goods regularly that are 60 lbs. and over.

Nice To Haves

• Reach truck experience is an asset.
• Experience with various RF scanners and wireless devices is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Pick merchandise by taking order sheets and going to correct bin locations to recover the right number of products.
• Drive an order picker lift truck to access bin locations in the warehouse.
• Place items on the conveyor.
• Collect accessory boxes prepared by the storekeeper and ensure they are placed with the correct orders.
• Be compliant with standards and business procedures as well as enforcing health and safety laws.
• Ensure that work areas and equipment are kept clean and organized at all times.
• Participate in the annual inventory.
• Complete various reports.
