About The Position

The Order Picker is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment. This role requires safely operating warehouse equipment, verifying order accuracy, and completing documentation while maintaining a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment. Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the role and work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) or more years of related warehouse experience and/or training
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects over 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for the duration of the shift
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Accountability and dependability
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively
  • Good math skills
  • Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification not required but recommended

Responsibilities

  • Pick products from warehouse shelves and/or pallet racking based on pick tickets and orders
  • Accurately retrieve correct materials and quantities for each order
  • Verify product type, quantity, and lot numbers against order documentation
  • Review and follow all pick ticket amendments and special instructions
  • Clearly highlight special handling or shipping instructions on orders
  • Box and prepare materials for order verification
  • Ensure all orders are double-checked for accuracy by another order filler or experienced warehouse personnel
  • Complete packaging of all verified orders, ensuring stability and protection from damage
  • Seal boxes securely for shipment
  • Label all cartons with correct identification and order information
  • Prepare products for shipping in compliance with company standards
  • Perform advanced picking using computer systems for lot numbers, bin lookups, replenishment, and maintenance
  • Complete inventory put-away using computer systems for proper date entry and placement
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
  • Identify bin locations accurately on pick tickets and orders
  • Safely operate forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, Taylor Dunn’s, and other warehouse equipment
  • Utilize warehouse technology including RFID, data entry systems, and minor use of MS Office Suite
  • Maintain daily housekeeping and organized work areas
  • Collaborate daily with team members to meet operational goals
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
