About The Position
Sunrise Soya Foods, a trusted name in soy products since 1956 and Canada's leading tofu manufacturer, is seeking individuals focused on career growth within the food manufacturing industry. The Picker is responsible for accurately and correctly picking customer orders using RF Scan guns in a refrigerated warehouse. This role may also involve receiving, loading trucks, or inventory counting as needed. The primary work environment is a refrigerated warehouse, operating at approximately 1-4°C for about 70% of the time.
Requirements
- Completed High school or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Sit-down counterbalance (class 1)
- Stand-up reach truck (class 2)
- Walkie-Rider powered pallet jack (class 3)
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Motivated & self-starter
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Good English communication skills – both verbal and written
- Good mathematical skills
- Forklift License (required)
- Reach Truck License (required)
Nice To Haves
- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
- Reach Truck: 1 year (preferred)
- Ability to commute/relocate to Delta, BC (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Ensures all customer orders are picked accurately and timely to meet scheduled delivery times
- Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Ensures Food Safe requirements, SOPs and GMP/SQF/HACCP standards and requirements are followed at all times (training provided)
