Ferguson is currently seeking 3rd Shift Order Pickers for our Fort Payne, AL regional Distribution Center. Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime including extended hours as needed based on business demands
  • Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred
  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment (stand‑up forklifts, reach trucks, order selectors, dock stockers) preferred
  • Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs , standing/walking for extended periods, working at heights up to 30 feet , and performing repetitive movements (bending, twisting, reaching)
  • Experience with, or readiness to learn, warehouse technology such as RF scanners or voice systems
  • Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to following all safety policies and PPE requirements

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safety procedures
  • Ensure inbound shipments are received and registered correctly.
  • Accurately sort, stage, store, and transport product to assigned locations
  • Perform daily tasks using RF scanners, voice systems, and/or labor management systems
  • Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets, containers, and materials to maintain inventory integrity
  • Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety at all times while following all established standard operating procedures for assigned task areas
  • Communicate effectively with team members and support a team‑oriented work environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, participating in ongoing housekeeping efforts
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and fall‑protection equipment when required
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to management
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs
