Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to pass the forklift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling Equipment.
  • Computer/Human Machine Interface skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Sorting and grouping skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand the difference in product labels and load ticket instructions.
  • Must be able to count large quantities of products and materials.
  • Must be able to read/hear and understand procedures for performing work.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled with exposure to hot/humid or cold weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • At least six (6) months of Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently performs a variety of duties within PBV’s warehouse operations to support both internal and external customers and meet business goals and demands.
  • Duties will include pulling, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, stacking, building pallets, wrapping, transporting, counting, performing quality control checks, dumping, reworking, replenishing, and otherwise handling PBV products, raw materials, packaging, and other warehouse goods and materials.
  • Verifies accuracy and quality of products that are received from vendors/suppliers and shipped to customers.
  • Performs all check-in/check-out duties assigned and maintains proper records (Bill of Ladings (BOLs), receivers, pick tickets, and other usual and customary record keeping) for each individual task according to the warehouse standard operating procedures.
  • Counts goods that are returned to the plant by sales and delivery personnel that are damaged, full, and/or empty.
  • Interacts with automation systems and screens, voice pick system, paper pick tickets and/or other warehouse management systems as required to verify and record products, and to build, finish, and verify the accuracy of pallets or place products on automatic conveyors in proper order to ensure accurate load outs and inventory counts.
  • Identifies machine faults, troubleshoots, corrects system errors/issues, and performs basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems.
  • Safely and efficiently operates various warehouse material handling/moving equipment in order to store, stage, retrieve, replenish, load or unload products and materials in designated areas or onto automatic conveyors/trailers for shipment. Equipment may include single or double forklifts, High-Speed Picking Area (HSPA) Claw, walkie-rider pallet jack, wrappers, or any other equipment as designated.
  • Safely and efficiently operates other warehouse and material handling machinery, including the floor scrubber, cardboard baler, dock plates, bay doors, or any other equipment as designated.
  • Performs all required safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery.
  • Performs janitorial tasks as necessary in designated work area to maintain a clean and organized space (which may include the full facility), to include emptying of trash, cleaning up spills, picking up debris, restacking overturned pallets/product, or other janitorial tasks as assigned.
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Security and other food safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
