Requirements

  • Is detail-oriented and consistent in their work.
  • Works well as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Can maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
  • Has foundational skills in mathematics, reading, or writing in English.
  • Understand basic production procedures.
  • Possesses excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to assemble products or machines effectively.
  • Follows health and safety regulations, including using protective gear.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the forklift operator in loading aluminum or galvanized steel coils onto the payoff.
  • Set up the roll-forming machine by threading it with the appropriate tools or using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assemble cartons, fill them with the product, and securely seal them using tools such as a stapler or bander.
  • Verify that product and carton labels are accurate, correctly applied, and placed in the proper location.
  • Move finished cartons from the packing table to the storage or shipping rack using approved pushing or lifting techniques. Ground-level scissor lifts are available for raising or lowering finished goods racks for easier loading.
  • Transport racks of finished goods from the machine to a designated staging area using a riding pallet jack.
  • Measure the product to ensure the required length and inspect the product for quality.
  • Report any production or quality issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Lubricate the machine and refill lubrication devices as needed.
  • Cut and dispose of scrap materials appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Complete all required paperwork or accurately input time and production data into the computer in a timely manner.
