Order Fulfillment Specialist Part Time
About The Position
The Order Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for performing general warehouse activities including pulling merchandise from a pick list, moving merchandise from sales floor to staging area, using a handheld scanner to verify merchandise counts and update merchandise locations, and operating equipment. This role is also involved in digital initiatives such as Buy Online, Pick Up In Club (BOPIC), Curbside pickup, Express Pay, and Ship from Club (SFC). This includes maintaining a clean and organized OMNI Space, organizing orders in bins according to gold standards, and regularly cleaning and maintaining storage bins based on safety standards. Team members should understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for their department and see the connection between consistent execution and its positive impact on the business.
Requirements
- Previous order pulling experience preferred.
- Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
- Previous RF scanner experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Processes member purchases by pulling merchandise from a pick list and using a handheld scanner device (RF) to pick orders from the sales floor and verify merchandise.
- Moves merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
- Communicates problems with inventory and/or equipment, and communicates expired or short-dated items included on the pick list.
- Communicates with the club team when merchandise needs to be replenished.
- Works with the team to have merchandise pulled from the reserve area, when possible, to avoid sales floor replenishment.
- Ensures all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet all productivity requirements.
- Works with a high level of urgency to ensure deadlines are met, up to and including key performance indicators based on individual performance.
- Follows operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards with adherence to established SOP for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
- Takes responsibility for individual performance and works with club leadership on individual performance when metrics are not met.
- Securely packages the order in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ensures the SFC area is neat, clean, and organized.
- Performs general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard from the work area.
- Handles damaged goods and spoiled products in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Processes returns to the club and makes a determination on how to handle them (via DDR or Membership desk).
- Maintains all club policies and procedures, including adhering to proper dress code standards.
- Meets OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintains regular, predictable, full attendance, which is an essential function of this job.
