About The Position

Santa Monica Seafood, an 80-year-old privately owned company, is the largest specialty wholesale distribution and processor of fresh and frozen seafood in the Southwestern U.S. with over 200,000 SF of facilities in 12 locations In California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. Santa Monica Seafood is also well known locally for its cafe in Santa Monica, California. Santa Monica Seafood was the first and still the only seafood company in the United States to achieve FSSC 22000 certification for food safety management systems, ISO 14001 certification for environmental management programs, and BAP certification of its main processing facility.

Requirements

• Able to work in a 35 to 40-degree environment.
• Being able to lift and carry 30-40 pounds for short distance.
• Walking and standing for a long period of time
• Basic Computer knowledge
• Properly and safely use warehouse equipment that you are authorized to use to complete tasks (cherry picker, pallet jack)

Responsibilities

• Pulling orders and scanning
• Inspecting all product for quality
• Preparing boxes
• Packing seafood and weighing
• Keeping your working area clean
• Assisting with various related tasks as assigned by you supervisor
• Move merchandise throughout the warehouse as needed
