About The Position

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking an Order Fulfillment Associate to join their team. This role is responsible for performing general warehouse activities, including picking merchandise from a pick list, moving it to a staging area, and using a handheld scanner to verify counts and update locations. The associate will also be involved in digital initiatives such as Buy Online, Pick Up In Club (BOPIC), Curbside pickup, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The position requires a commitment to delivering excellent service, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and working collaboratively with the team to achieve goals. Team members are expected to act with honesty and integrity, embrace inclusion and diversity, and move with speed and agility. The role also involves understanding business performance and its connection to consistent execution.

Requirements

• Previous order pulling experience preferred.
• Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse activities including pulling merchandise from a pick list.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
• Use a handheld scanner to verify merchandise counts and update merchandise locations.
• Operate equipment as needed.
• Work within all digital initiatives including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club.

• Organize member orders in bin storage based on gold standards.
• Ensure storage bins are regularly cleaned and maintained based on safety standards.
• Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
• See the connection between consistent execution and its positive impact on the business.
• Process member purchases by pulling merchandise from a pick list using an RF device.
• Verify merchandise using the RF scanner.
• Communicate problems with inventory and/or equipment, and expired or short-dated items.
• Communicate with the club team when merchandise needs to be replenished.
• Work with the team to have merchandise pulled from reserve areas to avoid sales floor replenishment.
• Ensure all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements.
• Work with a high level of urgency to ensure deadlines are met, including key performance indicators.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards with adherence to established SOP for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership on performance metrics.
• Securely package orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Ensure the Ship from Club (SFC) area is neat, clean, and organized.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures, including adhering to proper dress code standards.
• Meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance, which is an essential function of the job.
