About The Position

The Order Filler plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, staged, loaded, and prepared for delivery or customer pickup. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse and yard environment. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel to ensure orders are filled accurately and on time. The Order Filler directly contributes to customer satisfaction and the overall success of the operation.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse, lumberyard, building materials, or distribution experience.
Forklift experience or certification preferred.
Building material knowledge preferred.
Previous order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience preferred.
High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately pull, stage, and prepare customer orders according to invoices, pick tickets, and customer specifications.
Verify quantities, dimensions, and product descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
Load and unload building materials safely and efficiently.
Organize and stage materials for customer pickup and delivery routes.
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist customers with loading materials into vehicles.
Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies.
Maintain accurate inventory locations and assist with inventory counts as needed.
Read and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and customer requests.
Perform basic mathematical calculations to verify quantities, measurements, and material counts.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, dispatchers, and coworkers to ensure efficient workflow.
Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as needed.
