AZ Order Filler/Shipper (1st Shift)
About The Position
The Order Filler/Shipper is responsible for picking and preparing shipments, applying all applicable documentation, and verifying records on outgoing paperwork against what is picked and prepared to ship. This role involves using a WMS system and RF scanner for various tasks including label preparation, inventory management, and order verification. The position also requires operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, performing safety checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role is a full-time position with a salary range of $22.82 - $25.56 per hour.
Requirements
- Must have legible handwriting.
- Must have basic math knowledge.
- Capable of standing for long periods of time and frequent bending and stooping throughout the defined shift.
- Ability to operate a sit-down, stand-up forklift, and pallet jack safely.
- Moderate decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to lift up to eighty (80) pounds.
- Capable of working alone.
- Able to effectively verbally communicate with team members.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect boxes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must wear steel toe shoes.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of part numbers.
- Previous operation of forklift.
- Working knowledge of inventory process and personal computers.
- On-the-job, in-house training must be completed.
Responsibilities
- Compares identifying product information of outgoing shipments to verify against orders or other records (e.g., Top Sheet and packing list).
- Prepares bar code labels and documentation using WMS system (RF scanner).
- Applies identifying information onto cartons and/or skids of cartons.
- Verifies labels match scanned parts.
- Uses WMS computer system (RF scanner) for inventory availability and reconciliation.
- Performs daily inventory counts and reconciliations as required to maintain an accurate inventory.
- Operates stand-up, sit-down forklift and pallet jack as needed, including placing and removing product from shelving and travel.
- Performs all safety checks for forklifts.
- Maintains 5S standards.
- Ensures warehouse is kept in a safe and clean environment.
- Meets company’s attendance standards.
- Performs other duties as requested or required.
