About The Position

The Order Build Associate performs consolidation of finished work orders and is responsible for the day-to-day execution of tasks within the assigned work area. This role involves ensuring samples are collected, verifying order completeness, handling defects, logging returns, and coordinating with various teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and work with co-workers and customers effectively.
  • Ability to operate all forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers and other machinery.
  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Frequently uses hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds regularly, with or without assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus to inspect materials and products.
  • Must be able to safely work in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO, FDA, BSI) is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure samples are collected as requested.
  • Approve complete and partial items for shipping on due or late orders, create back orders if necessary.
  • Review defects with the Quality Manager to determine disposition.
  • Log returns of finished goods in the company enterprise application and route them to rework if applicable.
  • Verify all COCs are complete and accurate.
  • Move all hold for releases to 'will ship' by the end of the day before or the morning of their ship date.
  • Complete early received orders in order assembly, or review with production whether to run the balance or ship short.
  • Follow established QMS procedures.
  • Complete quality documents to ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Adhere to all established safety practices.
  • Work with the inspection team and order expediters to assure hot jobs are being processed.
  • Focus on LTL shipments and NDA first to ensure orders are moved before the target time.
  • Coordinate and train new employees.
  • Communicate quality concerns to the Quality Manager and aid in implementing changes as needed.
