About The Position

Aleut Federal, LLC is seeking an Orbital Warfare (OW) Specialist to provide OW support at the 57th Space Aggressor Squadron (SAS), Schriever SFB CO for mission planning, system support, education, and training of Space Aggressors. This role involves reviewing and updating orbital warfare courseware, providing instruction on Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO) mission planning, Space Battle Management, and replicating adversary tactics. The specialist will plan maneuvers using Systems Tool Kit (STK) or similar RPO planning tools, support the development of an adversary Offensive Space Control (OSC) employment plan, and attain certification as an OW operator and instructor. Responsibilities also include conducting research and analysis into future OW suites, providing recommendations using cost-benefit analysis, and supporting the development of OW aggressor training, products, capabilities, and simulation environments based on the latest intelligence assessments of adversary capabilities.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience with orbital warfare (orbital analysis or RPO)
  • Expert knowledge in orbital mechanics and science relevant to OW
  • Knowledge of OW mission systems to include Anti-Satellite (ASAT) weapons
  • Knowledge of RPO planning, Space Object Surveillance Identification (SOSI) deconfliction and ASAT launch planning
  • Experience with planning, briefing, or executing Non-Kinetic Effects (NKE) assets to achieve mission objectives
  • Proficient with Systems Tool Kit (STK) software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or 6 years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirement

Responsibilities

  • Review, update, and maintain orbital warfare courseware and curriculum
  • Provide instruction on Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO) mission planning and Space Battle Management and replicating adversary tactics
  • Plan maneuvers using Systems Tool Kit (STK) or similar RPO planning tools
  • Support the development of an adversary Offensive Space Control (OSC) employment plan for implementation in a simulation environment
  • Attain and maintain certification as an OW operator and instructor
  • Provide instruction on OW operator lessons and other material as directed by 57 SAS
  • Conduct research and analysis into future OW suites and provide recommendations using a cost benefit analysis approach
  • Provide support in developing and maintaining OW aggressor training, products, capabilities, and simulation environments based on latest intelligence assessments of adversary capabilities
