About The Position

Aleut Federal is seeking an Orbital Warfare (OW) Instructor/Curriculum Developer to support the 533d Training Squadron’s USSF Guardian Enlisted Training (GET) initiative at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. This role is crucial for refining the training of enlisted Guardians to better prepare the USSF for space-domain dominance. The GET initiative aims to develop the technical depth, knowledge, skills, and abilities of enlisted Guardians, who serve as technical specialists, leaders, weapon system experts, and advisors in satellite operations, cyberspace operations, and intelligence operations within the space domain. The work is slated to begin on January 1, 2027, contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Skilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience.
  • Experience developing curriculum using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) standards.
  • Prior completion of AETC Basic Instructor Course (BIC) or other service equivalent, accepted by CCAF or ability to obtain a CCAF accredited BIC certification within 3 months after employment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Active or current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and instruct mission-area curriculum on space superiority, satellite command and control, orbital operations, and space warfare concepts to include orbital mechanics, orbit determination and analysis, maneuver planning, Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO), orbital engagement maneuvers, and space surveillance operations.
  • Assess and mentor students.
  • Support integrated events, guest instruction, and multi-course instruction.
  • Support mission integration and Graduation Exercise (GRADEX) activities.
  • Participate in curriculum reviews, agile course development and maintenance efforts.
  • Maintain LMS records and student documentation.
  • Participate in faculty development and continuous improvement activities.
  • Coordinate activities with Contract PM and government supervisory personnel.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
