About The Position

Timber Dental is seeking a skilled and compassionate Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to support our surgical team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, has strong surgical assisting experience, and is passionate about providing excellent patient care. You will play a key role in assisting with oral surgery procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and efficiency throughout the surgical process.

Requirements

Active DAANCE certification required
Current CPR/BLS certification
Radiology certification (as required by state)
Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in a surgical environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude

Nice To Haves

Oral surgery assisting experience preferred (implant experience a plus)
CBCT experience a plus

Responsibilities

Assist the doctor during oral surgery procedures including extractions, implants, and other surgical treatments
Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operatories in accordance with infection control protocols
Take and process diagnostic radiographs (CBCT experience a plus)
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
Manage surgical setup and breakdown efficiently
Support inventory management and ordering of surgical supplies
Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
