This role involves performing a variety of duties to ensure the efficient operation of the oral surgery practice. Key responsibilities include managing clerical tasks, maintaining and sterilizing dental and medical equipment, assisting surgical personnel with skill development, and supporting the physician during procedures and surgeries. The assistant will prepare instruments and equipment for surgery, handle patient consent forms, and may perform tasks such as glucose tests and preparing bone materials. They will also administer nitrous oxide, assist the physician during procedures by passing instruments, providing suction, maintaining the patient's airway and field of vision, and performing wound care. Additionally, the role includes taking radiographs, managing supply levels, and performing other assigned duties.
