Oral Surgery Assistant
About The Position
Nu Image in Rocky Mount, NC, is seeking a Surgical Assistant for their specialty oral surgery center. The center offers a range of procedures including extractions, advanced grafting, periodontics, and implant placement, with a strong emphasis on patient care and a supportive team environment. The role involves assisting with consultations, surgeries, pre/post-operative care, taking diagnostic images, sterilizing instruments, preparing the operatory, managing supplies, monitoring patient vitals, and providing chairside support. The position also includes office post-operative care and follow-up.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of chairside assisting experience in oral surgery/or periodontics is REQUIRED.
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain quickly).
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
Responsibilities
- Assist with consultations, surgeries, and pre/post-op care.
- Take diagnostic images and sterilize instruments.
- Prepare the operatory and manage surgical supplies.
- Monitor patient vitals and provide chairside support.
- Office post-operative care and instructions and follow-up.
