Montshire Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team at our Dublin office. We are a family-owned practice serving nearly 30,000 children across New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts. Requirements

  • Take dental radiographs, CBCT scans, photographs, and other diagnostic images following safety and positioning standards.
  • Communicate with patients and families in a warm, respectful, and developmentally appropriate manner.
  • Ability to assist efficiently during oral surgery procedures, including extractions, implant placement, bone grafting, and sedation cases.
  • Support patient monitoring and assist with nitrous oxide and IV sedation procedures under provider supervision and within certification guidelines.
  • Current CPR, PALS, and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain operatory readiness by stocking surgical supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with infection control and OSHA standards.
  • Bring forward ideas to improve surgical workflows, patient experience, safety practices, and clinical efficiency.
  • Assist the oral surgeon chairside during consultations, surgical procedures, and post-operative treatment, including extractions, implant placement, bone grafting, and related oral surgery procedures.
  • Prepare and set up surgical operatories, instruments, materials, implants, and surgical trays, including sterilization and organization of surgical instruments and equipment.
