About The Position

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of South Texas is seeking a skilled and compassionate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join its established specialty practice in Edinburg, Texas. Led by board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Francisco M. Perez, DMD, MSD, the practice is committed to providing advanced surgical care in a professional, supportive, and patient-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an oral surgeon who values clinical autonomy, a broad surgical scope, strong referral relationships, and the support of an experienced specialty team. The practice provides a comprehensive range of oral and maxillofacial surgery services, including dental implant placement, zygomatic and ceramic dental implants, bone grafting and implant-site development, wisdom tooth removal, surgical tooth extractions, corrective jaw surgery, treatment of facial injuries and trauma, diagnosis and treatment of facial pain and TMJ disorders, exposure of impacted teeth, oral pathology evaluation and treatment, crown lengthening and frenectomy procedures, and intravenous sedation and anesthesia services. The practice uses advanced 3D imaging, including the CS 9300 system, to support accurate diagnosis, detailed treatment planning, and predictable surgical outcomes. Doctors are supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team committed to patient safety, professional excellence, and creating a comfortable treatment experience. The practice serves Edinburg and the surrounding Rio Grande Valley community while maintaining strong relationships with local referring providers.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program
  • Eligibility for dental licensure in Texas
  • Strong clinical judgment and surgical skills
  • Experience with dentoalveolar surgery, implant placement, bone grafting, and anesthesia
  • A commitment to ethical, evidence-based care
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • An interest in developing lasting relationships with referring doctors

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgery services.
  • Perform dental implant placement, including zygomatic and ceramic implants.
  • Conduct bone grafting and implant-site development.

  • Execute corrective jaw surgery.
