About The Position
Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to provide full-time locum tenens coverage for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery trauma service. This role involves managing 24/7 on-call responsibilities for inpatient trauma consultations and emergencies. The surgeon will perform surgical evaluations and procedures for maxillofacial injuries, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure comprehensive documentation and compliance with hospital protocols. The position is located in Joplin, MO, at a Level II Trauma facility utilizing the Epic EMR system.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Licensed in MO or IMLC
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time locum tenens coverage for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery trauma service.
- Manage 24/7 on-call responsibilities for inpatient trauma consultations and emergencies.
- Perform surgical evaluations and procedures for maxillofacial injuries.
- Coordinate care with emergency medicine, anesthesia, and surgical teams.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and compliance with hospital protocols.
