About The Position

Next Generation, Inc, an Equal-Opportunity Employer, is seeking an experienced Oracle Grants Functional Lead with strong hands-on expertise supporting and implementing Oracle Financials within Public Sector environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading Grants Management functional activities, gathering business requirements, designing and configuring solutions, and supporting end-to-end implementations for government and public sector clients. This is a hybrid role which requires 6 days on site in Northern Virginia/DC area per month.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience with Oracle Grants Management, including participation in full lifecycle implementations
• Demonstrated experience supporting Public Sector Oracle implementations (federal, state, local government, or public agencies)
• Strong understanding of grants lifecycle processes including award setup, budgeting, billing, revenue recognition, and compliance tracking
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and/or Oracle Cloud Financials, specifically Grants, Projects, and General Ledger
• Hands-on experience configuring Oracle Grants to meet business and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions and collaborate effectively with technical teams

Nice To Haves

• Oracle Financials or Oracle Cloud certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Public Sector stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements related to grants lifecycle management, including budgeting, award management, and compliance tracking
• Lead the design and configuration of Oracle Grants Management, including award setup, funding sources, budgets, billing, revenue recognition, and reporting, ensuring compliance with Public Sector regulations and grant funding requirements
• Participate in and lead end-to-end implementation activities, including system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live support
• Identify opportunities to improve grants management processes, financial tracking, and reporting using Oracle best practices
• Develop user training materials, conduct training sessions, and provide post-go-live support to ensure successful end-user adoption
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between Oracle Grants and related modules such as Projects, GL, AP, AR, and Procurement
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grant regulations, audit requirements, and provide expertise in grants reporting, cost tracking, and reconciliation
