About The Position

The Oracle Fusion Finance Lead will act as the primary onsite point of contact for client finance leads, steering committees, and corporate controllers. This role involves translating complex financial requirements into standard Oracle capabilities, leading discovery and CRP workshops to align client accounting processes with Oracle Modern Best Practices (OMBP), and managing scope boundaries onsite. The lead will evaluate custom change requests (RICEFW) and minimize customizations by driving standard SaaS adoption. Responsibilities include leading the architectural design and hands-on setup across key modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CE), and Expenses. The role also involves defining Enterprise Structure, Chart of Accounts (COA) structures, ledgers, legal entities, business units, and financial reporting hierarchies. Additionally, the lead will architect multi-currency, intercompany accounting, and tax structures, and partner with SCM and Manufacturing architects to ensure seamless subledger accounting flows. Configuration and customization of Subledger Accounting rules, translation of onsite business requirements into functional specs for the offshore team, review of technical specs and unit testing outputs, leading data conversion strategies, and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) are also key aspects. The role culminates in planning and executing financial cutover activities, historical reconciliation, and providing period-close support during hypercare.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise across core financial modules: General Ledger (GL), Financial Reporting Web Studio, Allocations, Intercompany Accounting, Period-End Close.
  • Expertise in Procure-to-Pay (P2P): Accounts Payable (AP), Payments, Supplier Portal integration, Expense Management.
  • Expertise in Order-to-Cash (O2C): Accounts Receivable (AR), Advanced Collections, Revenue Management (ASC 606 / IFRS 15).
  • Expertise in Asset & Cash Management: Assets (FA), Cash Management (CE), Bank Statement Reconciliation, Cash Forecasting.
  • Expertise in Accounting & Reporting: Subledger Accounting (SLA), OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence), BIP Reports, Smart View.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary onsite point of contact for client finance leads, steering committees, and corporate controllers; translate complex financial requirements into standard Oracle capabilities.
  • Lead onsite discovery and CRP (Current Requirement Playback) workshops to align client accounting processes with Oracle Modern Best Practices (OMBP).
  • Manage scope boundaries onsite, evaluate custom change requests (RICEFW), and minimize customizations by driving standard SaaS adoption.
  • Lead the architectural design and hands-on setup across key modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CE), and Expenses.
  • Define Chart of Accounts (COA) structures, ledgers, primary/secondary ledger relationships, legal entities, business units, and financial reporting hierarchies.
  • Architect multi-currency, intercompany accounting (AGIS/Intercompany Engine), and tax structures (e-Business Tax / Oracle Financials Tax).
  • Partner closely with SCM and Manufacturing architects to ensure seamless subledger accounting flows across Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Inventory Costing.
  • Configure and customize Subledger Accounting rules to automate complex accounting entries triggered by logistics, inventory transfers, and manufacturing events.
  • Translate onsite business requirements into clear functional specs (FDDs) for the offshore delivery team; review technical specs (TDDs) and unit testing outputs.
  • Lead data conversion strategies for financial opening balances, open items (AP/AR), and historical transaction data using FBDI/HDL; oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Plan and execute financial cutover activities, historical reconciliation, and period-close support during hypercare.
