Oracle ERP Expense Lead
About The Position
Accenture's Oracle practice is seeking an Oracle Expense Lead to join their team. This role involves developing and delivering next-generation Oracle solutions using innovation-led design thinking, agile methodologies, and intelligent technologies like IoT, automation, and AI. The practice is a Global Cloud Elite and Platinum member of the Oracle Partner Network, with over 145 awards. As an Oracle Expense Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, and delivery of Oracle Expense solutions within broader Oracle ERP transformations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring compliant, user-friendly, and scalable expense processes that align with client policies and regulatory requirements. You will translate business requirements into effective Oracle Expense configurations, advise clients on best practices, and configure expense policies, mileage, per diem, corporate card integrations, and approval workflows. Collaboration with Procure-to-Pay, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Travel teams is essential, as is supporting conferences, workshops, and design sessions with client stakeholders. You will also lead and mentor functional team members, support offshore/onshore delivery models, and participate in data conversion, testing, and post-go-live support. Additionally, you will contribute to solution governance, risk management, and issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline
- 5+ years of Oracle Financials experience, with strong hands‑on delivery of Oracle Expenses Cloud
- Strong hands‑on experience delivering Oracle Expenses Cloud as part of Oracle ERP implementations
- Solid understanding of Expense policy design, compliance controls, and audit requirements
- Experience integrating Oracle Expenses with AP, GL, P2P, and Corporate Cards
- Ability to lead client discussions and influence solutions at both functional and leadership levels
- Experience working on large‑scale Oracle Cloud implementations
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Travel & Expense (T&E) solutions and third‑party card providers
- Exposure to shared services or global expense rollouts
- Oracle Cloud certifications (Oracle AI Studio, ERP, Financials, or Expenses)
- Prior experience in consulting or client‑facing delivery roles
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Oracle Expenses Cloud, from requirements through design, build, testing, and deployment
- Translate business requirements into effective Oracle Expense configurations, including policies, controls, and approvals
- Advise clients on expense best practices, compliance, and process optimization
- Configure expense policies, mileage, per diem, corporate card integrations, and approval workflows
- Partner closely with Procure‑to‑Pay, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Travel teams to ensure seamless integration
- Support conferences, workshops, and design sessions with client stakeholders
- Lead and mentor functional team members; support offshore/onshore delivery models
- Participate in data conversion, testing (SIT/UAT), and post‑go‑live support activities
- Contribute to solution governance, risk management, and issue resolution
