About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to join our team. The role involves developing database utilities using PL/SQL for large databases, implementing large databases in Oracle, and collaborating with front-end developers. This position is crucial for contributing to enterprise project deliveries, preferably within a financial institution. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an agile environment, adapting to changing requirements, and working independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.

Requirements

7+ years of experience required.
Strong experience in Oracle packages, procedures, functions, and analytics functions.
Experience with PL/SQL, Oracle, SQL, Oracle database, Oracle PL/SQL.
Strong facilitation and communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrated experience designing solution approaches for large scale enterprise systems.
Demonstrated experience providing code reviews and mentoring across multiple agile teams.
Experience migrating to CI/CD with SDM platform (Horizon/BitBucket/Artifactory/etc).
Ability to learn business processes and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Excellent programming, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with object databases and other relational databases is preferred.
Experience working in an agile environment with the ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements and work independently.

Responsibilities

Developing database utilities using PL/SQL for large databases.
Implementing large databases in Oracle.
Working with front-end developers.
Contributing to enterprise project deliveries, preferably within a financial institution.
Developing and maintaining PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and SQL statements in Oracle 19c/21c.
Performance Tuning, including tuning/optimizing SQL and PL/SQL code.
Maintaining re-usable development standards for solutions and enhancements to existing systems.
Designing solution approaches for large-scale enterprise systems.
Providing code reviews and mentoring across multiple agile teams.
Migrating to CI/CD with SDM platform (Horizon/BitBucket/Artifactory/etc).
Reading code in multiple languages and inspecting infrastructure to understand the current state before implementing changes.
Agile methodology JIRA story grooming execution.
Understanding client requirements (stories), designing story-level solutions, and translating them into deliverables.
Learning business processes and applying that knowledge to assigned tasks.
