About The Position

Synergy ECP is seeking an Oracle Database Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and optimizing Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong Oracle Database administration skills, advanced SQL and PL/SQL development expertise, and experience supporting mission-critical applications in secure, high-availability environments. This individual will work closely with software developers, system engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of database systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 Years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c, or newer).
  • Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
  • Experience with Oracle RMAN backup and recovery.
  • Experience performing database performance tuning using Oracle tools.
  • Strong understanding of indexing, query optimization, execution plans, and database architecture.
  • Experience supporting Linux-based server environments.
  • Experience with database migrations, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • CWIP: IAT Level 1 Tech
  • Experience: Oracle w/Sql
  • Years of Experience: 5 years w/ degree (10 years w/o)
  • CLEARANCE REQUIRED: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
  • Other Requirements: U.S. Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Experience with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, ASM, or GoldenGate.
  • Experience supporting Agile software development teams.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
